No one crosses me unless they wish to meet their maker.
My past made me the devil I am today, but in walks my angel, trying to break that mold against my will. She is innocent and broken, engaged to another, but she doesn’t belong in my world.
Still, I won’t let her walk away without giving in to the long-awaited desire I’ve denied myself, even if it is temporary. Once I’ve taken care of our enemies, she can leave with tarnished feathers, blackened by my need. Then, I’ll let my angel fly away — if I can
